Communications: Postal and Courier Services

Postal Service

Mail delivery in Spain can often be slow and unreliable. It is unwise to send valuables through the mail. It's advisable to send all international mail by air mail. Unless mail is clearly marked for airmail, it will be sent by sea. Telephones aren't available in most Spanish post offices. Letters often arrive at European destinations in two to seven days. Airmail letters between Spain and North America usually take five to 10 days.
